What are Hybrids?

A hybrid is the combination of two or more different things, aimed at achieving a particular objective or goal.

For reference purposes, there are so many different things that the word hybrid is involved with:

- There are ads everywhere for Hybrid Cars. Even though this is not an approach to donate money to non-profits. It surely does donate money into our own pockets when we buy them. For example, there is a tax return that a person can be rewarded by purchasing a Hybrid Vehicle. This turns out to be an awesome way to advertise and also further enhance a company because just like other companies are helping to benefit Africa and charities, Hybrids help to benefit the environment.

- Additionally to Hybrids, There’s Chevy’s new technology of E85 Ethanol. As it says on the ad, E85 is the most renewable fuel source made from US grown biomaterial such as corn and other grain products. Its like GROWING YOUR OWN FUEL. It helps decrease the economy’s dependence on petroleum and burns cleaner than gasoline.

- What is the meaning of E85? 85% Ethanol and 15% Gasoline. This isn’t exactly the same stuff that I’ve been focusing on throughout the rest of the journal such as making profit through promoting non-profit and good causes, these vehicles do produce major revenue for companies through showing that the company cares about the environment.

- The last of these technologies is the Electric Car. It promotes a daily commute without using a drop of gas. It is run on a lithium Ion Battery with a variety of extending onboard power sources. It uses zero gasoline and produces zero emissions, with an estimated 640 miles.

- Hybrids were discussed in a different form in our class, but the reason why these cars interested me is because they give back to the environment. The companies are making a profit out of selling these cars, but they are doing it through enhancing the environment.
